10 Tips on How to Receive Goodness and Prosperity
Goodness and Prosperity are holistic in nature, they aren’t just about attracting money, and bring with them the gifts of fulfillment on many levels. Sometimes these gifts arrive from effort on your own behalf and sometimes due to the goodness you’ve shown to others. They are easily within your reach and struggling to obtain them repels them. So don’t be attached to getting them by driving yourself harder.
Here are some of the things I’ve learned to help keep a constant flow of goodness and prosperity in my life and receive with more ease:
1. Know What You Need and Want This requires self-knowledge of what you want to draw in and why it’s important to you in the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional domains. Mentally it requires that you be familiar with your life circumstances, (i.e. what your required income is, what other financial obligations you have and any existing time commitments or responsibilities, etc.) Physically you have to maintain your health so your body can support you with any changes or arrivals of new opportunities. Spiritually and emotionally it’s practicing calmness in the midst of a full life, so you have a clear presence are able to recognize these gifts.
2. Vision and Write Down Your Dreams and Goals Don’t just think through how you’d like your life to look, but imagine them clearly, then write them down. (Click here for a helpful site on the key components of your visioning). Lee Iacocca, former President and CEO of the Chrysler Corporation, said, “The discipline of writing something down is the first step toward making it happen.” Stephen R. Covey, trainer and author and recognized by Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential Americans, said he agrees. So get a notebook or journal or even use your computer, but get it down so you can see it clearly and often refer back to it. Also read divine caroline on writing things down. Statistics show that improved results occur for those who take the time to do both of these.
3. Share Your Goals and Dreams with Ambassadors Certain contacts, friends or supporters will help you open doors to opportunity and network effectively to connect with the right leads, but they aren’t the type to steer you in their best-advised direction or judge the direction you’ve got planned. Be verbal about what you’re pursuing with true supporters and not those who would squash your passion and plans.
4. Take Relevant Actions Take those actions you can cause for yourself by respecting the merging of two principles: “things take time” plus “there’s no time like the present.” Strike a conscientious balance between these principles and proceed by honoring yourself and all your existing commitments, as well as the people who will be directly impacted by your decisions.
5. Practice Daily Relaxation Techniques More rigorous exercise is necessary to maintain the health of your body, yet slower, conscious movements, or even peaceful stillness, will clear your head and help you maintain a strong emotional response ability, fine-tuning your listening skills for new opportunities and openings. Some of the active relaxation practices are meditation, slow walks in nature or your neighborhood, a massage and gentle stretching.
6. Daily Appreciation + Affirmation I combine my first thing in the morning/last thing at night habit of giving thanks, with my positive affirmations i.e, “I am relaxed and connected to the natural flow of my life.” Affirmations have been proven effective in helping you achieve goals. 7. Take Your Focus Off Yourself Now that you’ve set clear goals, written them down, shared them, and are taking regular actions to produce your desired results, switch your attention away from yourself. Instead of worrying about your success or lack of it, look out for others’ needs and balance your quiet time and actions with attention to those who may need you.
8. Give Unconditionally to Others It’s amazing the power of attraction for goodness and abundance that will come to you from unconditional support of others. That means you can’t expect it to be returned when you give freely of your time, money, energy or company, but even so, your generosity will come back to you. Along with the law of reciprocity, which means always returning the kindness of others, giving unconditionally may include missing out on an evening out to listen to a friend in need’s phone call, giving a ride to someone that might take you out of your way, putting a friend up for the night, etc. Just doing this makes you feel great too.
9. Attitude of True Unattachment It’s important to strive for goals, however, in order to create more flow you have to be able to let things go. If the economy causes you to lose your house despite all your best efforts to save it, then you can believe it’s time for a new change, rather than get stuck in sorrow, self-blame and failure conversations.
10. Experienced Supporters Assistance It’s important to pay attention to both wins and failures. Wins are to be built upon, while failures are learnings that are there to take you in new and improved directions. If you continue to repeat old patterns, then you need experienced experts in this who can help you break out of areas where you’re stuck.
May you take the time to dream a prosperous future and move towards it, yet enjoy all the goodness that comes to you now, not always having your head cocked to look around the next curve at what may be coming.
