This afternoon I had the opportunity to be a radio guest on the North County San Diego Business show on Blog Talk Radio. I talked about women re-careering, including “Working Remotely.” I discussed some of the pros and cons of entrepreneurship and working independently, and how to structure and plan for change.
Debra Simpson was a gracious host and allowed me to expound with enthusiasm on the 47.1% of women in the workforce and the opportunities that are available to them. The older women, coined “the healthiest and wealthiest generation in history,” by author Marti Barletta, are acknowledged for the wisdom and experience they bring to jobs and are staying up to speed along with mid-life women and their younger associates who have learned to competently handle sophisticated technologies, multitask and competently perform in what is often chaotic environments.
How to maintain breathing room, balance priorities and create boundaries along with tangible resources for financial well-being and tips to start an at-home business were all included.
