Women – A Force of Nature
At a recent conference of women we brainstormed on definitions of feminine leadership. The words we came up with included authenticity, sensitivity, intuition, service, boldness, supportive, listening, loving, world-oriented and more. One table of women said, “We are the beauty that defines definition.” Another said, “We see things with compassion and get it done with power.” This assessment with a large group of women undeniably surfaced the fact that we are a positive force of nature.
So what dilutes your power and stalls you in living your full potential?
You may find life’s chaotic nature upsetting, because you can’t control it. There is a seductiveness to victimhood because it can be easier in the moment to blame outside events or people. Then you back off from your needs and wants and let others step in line in front of you, hence the self-fulfilling prophecy that things don’t work out and, you say, you can’t make them work out.
Nothing can occur without 100% responsibility. You have to take personal responsibility for outcomes – or lack of them. You can control your response to life’s occurrences and whether or not you turn yourself in new directions and seek new solutions when old ones fail. In doing so, you accept things as they are and devise your plan to move forward from where you are. Next, you seek support. Women have to reach out to help one another have solid footing. Yet, be wary of volunteering your time or energy to anyone if it doesn’t renew you to the powerful force of nature you know you are.
Isn’t it time for you to awaken to yourself as a force of nature for feminine leadership?
